Serena Wei is an Attorney-at-Law and the Taipei office representative of the firm. In these roles, Serena is actively involved in patent litigation cases, involving electrical, mechanical, and/or optical devices. Beyond litigation, she provides expertise in intellectual property counseling and pre-suit negotiation strategies to the clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Serena practiced law in Taiwan for over five years, concentrating on IP management, due diligence investigations in merger and acquisition deals, and litigation. As a certified consultant for the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS), she successfully led five top publicly traded companies in implementing TIPS certification, resulting in minimized IP disputes, prevention of technology/trade secret leakages, and promotion of sustainable corporate governance. Serena partnered with clients across various industries including e-commerce, semiconductor, pharmaceuticals, IT, financial services, and petrochemicals.

In addition to her working with corporations, Serena has had experience working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including cross-functional departments, governments, individuals, and investors to address various commercial legal matters. Her involvement extends to working alongside legislators during Taiwan’s Company Act Amendment, partnering with medical professionals to conduct legal research on AI applications in healthcare and collaborating with developers to design innovative legal technologies.

Serena received an LL.M.degree from the University of Chicago Law School, with a specialization in technology laws, and an LL.B. from National Chengchi University of Taiwan.
