Dr.
Chang has assisted applicants to convert great inventions into valuable
patent protections. He has also counseled clients with regard to
corporate patent strategies. His broad knowledge base in the sciences
allows him to quickly capture the essence of each invention and
correctly distinguish the invention over the prior art.
Dr.
Chang has prosecuted patent applications for inventions of various
technical fields, including, for example, semiconductor processing,
optics, telecommunication, audio/video signal processing, computer
software/hardware, business method, articles of daily use, and
interdisciplinary technologies, such as bioassay devices. He has also
conducted searches for prior art references that may potentially
invalidate issued patents.
Dr. Chang
worked in a
large
intellectual property law firm for many years. During that period, he
accumulated working experiences on all aspects of the U.S.
patent prosecution. He also worked in the IP department of a large
computer manufacturer in Shenzhen, China, and in a patent law office in
Taipei, Taiwan, where he gained professional experiences in foreign
patent prosecutions.
